Happa and proud

back

Years ago, I was surfing the net when I heard about this artist/writer who had made a book on Happas. Although the project (aptly named the Happa Project) was over, the book (Part Asian, 100% Happa) was out in full force so I bought it. And instantly found a sourcebook that showed so many others who grew up with the same experiences. It was amazing, stupendous, fortuitous, life-altering (ok, maybe not quite so altering but definitely eye-opening)...it made me proud to know that I wasn't a freak because I didn't look like everyone else.

I mean, geez, how many times can you get asked "Exactly WHAT are you?" in one lifetime before you just want to let loose on the next enquirer!!! So for all you curious about what it is to be a Happa, get this book. Then you can quit asking me that same question!

There's more about the author, Kip Fulbeck, at his site .
