And before you knew it, December was here and I was driving out to the test site...in Los Angeles. Like I didn't have enough problems without having to deal with L.A. traffic before a major exam. Yes, I'm spoiled as I don't live in a major city. Although there's more than enough traffic where I live.
Entering the exam room brought me back to when I was in college. And I remembered just how much I didn't miss the life style. But with pencils in hand, and my brain in a state of suspended animation, I prepared to fill in those little dots on the exam sheet. Once I got through my initial panic at what the heck "romaji" was (I never use alphabets with my Japanese words so it took a few minutes - embarassing), I was on my way to finishing the test. Laughing at the uniqueness of the Japanese (the listening comprehension portion is pretty funny), I felt at one with the universe when I had finished the JLPT 3. I'll be getting my results in a few weeks, but I'm already over it as I am preparing for JLPT 2. Almost 3 times the information, and a million times harder. So you know what I'm doing right now... studying. SIGH!!!! |
